...the potential for transforming public libraries, especially in rural areas, is enormous. This is a [network] that brings people together, strengthens our communities and creates another service niche for public libraries in Alberta.

*CANCELLED* Conflict to Innovation (session for library staff)

Wednesday, October 25, 2017 - 2:30pm - 4:00pm

How can we structure our conversations to ensure participants are in a state of mind to innovate and not fight, flight or freeze?

Join Marjorie Munroe from Workplace Fairness West as she discusses with library staff how creative change can emerge from conflict.

"Our present challenge is to change the culture of conflict itself, within our workplaces , our communities, and our world . We must create  a culture where even the most serious disputes are handled not on the basis of coercion or force, but from mutual respect and coexistence. Far from eliminating differences , our challenge  is to make the  world  safe  for differences." -William Ury

*session for library staff only
